As one of the largest global automotive parts manufacturers, GMB carries parts for thousands of vehicles dating back to 1950.

Whether you’re just in the mood to check out a few gorgeous classic cars or you want to know if GMB carries an OE quality water pump replacement for your classic, this list is what you need:

1. Chevrolet Corvette (1956 & 1976 Models)

This is one of the earliest models of the Corvette, and its beauty matches its performance.

A 1956 Corvette, via Bull-Doser

Twenty years after the ’56 Corvette hit the roads, the 1976 Corvette made its debut.

A 1976 Corvette, via AlfvanBeem

2. 1959 Chrysler 300E

A 1959 Chrysler 300 Convertible, via Velocity Journal

The high-performance luxury car not only produces a whole lot of power with its 6.7L V8 but also sports a stunning appearance with curvy lines. They don’t make cars like this anymore.

3. 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air

A 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air, via Greg Gjerdingen

Anyone would be lucky to own a ’59 Bel Air, and its 4.6L V8 engine is pretty impressive for a car produced in the 50s.

4. 1967 Pontiac GTO

A 1967 Pontiac GTO, via Greg Gjerdingen

The GTO is one of the best things left behind by Pontiac, and the 1967 model is certainly something to write home about. It not only is easy on the eyes, but it also produced a whole lot of horsepower with its 6.6L V8 engine. We’re talking at least 360 horsepower, which was practically unheard of at the time.

5. 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner

A 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner, via Sicnag

Although classified as a mid-size car, there’s nothing mid-size about this beast. 1968 is actually the first year the Roadrunner hit the roads, and Pontiac certainly set it off on the right foot with a 7.0L V8 engine.

6. Chevrolet Camaro (1969 & 1985 Models)

A 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS, via BrokenSphere

The ’69 Camaro’s aggressive look is paired with the insane amount of power its 7.0L V8 puts out. What we’d give to hear it rumbling down the road right now!

A 1985 Chevrolet Camaro SS, via M62

The 1985 model pushes up to 215 horsepower, which was a pretty big deal back in the 80s.

7. Ford Mustang (1969, 1973, & 1987 Models)

A 1969 Ford Mustang, via Sicnag

Arguably one of the most beautiful muscle cars of all time, the ’69 Ford Mustang has a lot to offer: a 3.3L – 7.0L V8 engine, a hefty but eye-pleasing body, and several transmission options.

A 1973 Ford Mustang, via nakhon100

Although not as powerful as the ’69 model, the 1973 Mustang still delivers a lot of muscle with its 5.8L engine.

A 1987 Ford Mustang GT, via Dan Carmichael

The facelifted 1987 Mustang didn’t come with a V6 option, instead offering only a 4.9L V8 (as a muscle car should).

8. 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle

A 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, via Greg Gjerdingen

Buyers of the ’70 Chevelle could choose from a variety of engines, the most powerful one being a 7.4L V8 that pushed out at least 360 horsepower. We would’ve been OK with any engine that came with a ’70 Chevelle though because it’s such a gorgeous car.

9. 1970 Plymouth Barracuda

A 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda, via AlfvanBeem

In 1970, the Plymouth ‘Cuda was available as a coupe or convertible. The power plant options included V6 or V8 engines producing 275–425 hp. Holy smokes!

10. 1970 Buick Gran Sport 455

A 1970 Buick GS 455, via Sicnag

The GS 455 convertible was one of the fastest muscle cars of its time.

11. 1970 Plymouth Duster

A 1970 Plymouth Duster, via Jerem

The base ’70 Duster model had a pretty solid V8, but the performance-oriented model’s 5.6L V8 was the real power plant.

12. 1971 Datsun 240Z

A 1971 Nissan 240Z, via Paddyspig

The 240Z might not be quite as powerful as the other cars on this list, but it’s still a great car. In fact, it was named the second top sports car of the 1970s by Sports Car International.

13. 1973 Mercury Cougar

A 1973 Mercury Cougar, via Christopher Ziemnowicz

Back in its heyday, the Cougar was a pretty nifty car. 1973 was the Cougar’s last year as a muscle car – in 1974, Mercury reclassified it as a luxury car.

14. 1974 Chevrolet Nova

A 1974 Chevrolet Nova, via Bull-Doser

This list wouldn’t be complete without a Nova, would it? The 1974 model came with many different engine and transmission options, some more performance-oriented than others. The top engine option was a 6.6L V8.

15. 1982 Pontiac Firebird

A 1982 Pontiac Firebird, via Sicnag

In 1982, the Pontiac Firebird came with automatic and manual transmission options, as well as V6, V6 Turbo, and V8 engine options, the most powerful being a 5.0L V8.

16. 1983 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

A 1983 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, via IFCAR

This luxury coupe is powered by a V8 engine that cranks out up to 165 horsepower.

17. 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix

A 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix, via Vanguard Motor

The most powerful ’86 Grand Prix option has a 5.0L V8 engine.

18. 1987 Buick Regal

A 1987 Buick Regal, via Cshaiku

With a 3.8L V6 engine, the 1987 Regal gives many classic cars a run for their money.

19. 1989 Dodge Dakota

A 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport, via FavCars

It might be strange to see a pickup truck on this list, but the ’89 Dakota definitely deserves a spot here. The Dodge Dakota is well known for cranking out a lot of horsepower. This model is no exception with its 5.2L V8, which puts it ahead of the Ford Thunderbird. Speaking of which…

20. 1989 Ford Thunderbird

A 1989 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe, via Greg Gjerdingen

This 2-door coupe is best classified as a sleeper. It doesn’t look like much, but it’s packing a lot of power under the hood with a 3.8L V6 engine, as well as manual and automatic transmission options.

GDI Pumps
GMB is proud to announce the expansion of our fuel pump line to include GDI fuel pumps for 12 million VIO!

We’re adding 12 new High-Pressure Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) Fuel Pumps to our line of fuel pumps and related parts. We’re proud to continue to be one of the largest global manufacturers and suppliers of OE and aftermarket automotive products, and these new part numbers cover over 12 million VIO for late model Ford, GM, Hyundai, Volkswagen and other fitments.

“We are excited to expand on our Fuel Pump Program and provide coverage across newer vehicles. GDI engines require highly-pressurized fuel. This is something many drivers consider a better system than standard fuel injection systems.”

– Edward Gullans, Senior Product Manager

This category is becoming more prevalent in new vehicles, and at GMB we plan to continue to expand the line to meet the needs of the market. GDI Fuel Pumps:

  • Meet stricter emissions standards,
  • Are more fuel-efficient, and
  • Create more power than conventional fuel injection.

All GMB GDI pumps are strictly benchmarked directly with the OEM part to match both performance and durability. We performs high and low-temperature tests, plunger and spring hardness tests, endurance testing up to 250 million cycles in addition to other tests, which are conducted to ensure OEM quality. GMB tensioner

February 18, 2019, Dayton, NJ – GMB, one of the largest global manufacturers and suppliers of OE and aftermarket automotive products, has made their timing belt tensioners and idler pulleys accessible to all. GMB has been selling tensioners to OE manufacturers since 2001 and estimate their tensioners cover about 90 percent VIO. Keeping a focus on the needs of jobbers, installers, DIYers and distributors, GMB has added the tensioner and idler program to their e-catalog.

GMB tensioner anatomy

“Most of the popular timing belt kits on the market today include GMB tensioners,” says Sarah Porter, marketing manager at GMB. “We’re pleased to now provide our customers convenient access to the tensioner and idler program while delivering the high GMB quality they expect and trust.”.

GMB has been manufacturing world-class bearings for more than 75 years, and each GMB product is manufactured with their famous bearings, giving them control over quality. Like all GMB products, parts from the tensioner and idler program are performance tested to ensure both quality and safety for end users.

Here are some of the factors that make GMB’s tensioner and idler program a good choice:

  • Rigorous testing and quality control for all bearing components
  • Proven durability at high speed and high tension use
  • Premium Triple-Lip Seal to maximize grease retention and prevent contamination
  • High heat resistant grease

“Now customers can find the tensioner they need easily on our site” Porter says. “Our online catalog allows you to search by year-make-model-engine, VIN, or part number. We offer thousands of part numbers, so it’s important to us that finding a part is an easy process.”

About GMB

Since 1943, GMB’s manufacturing quality has been recognized within the industry beginning with Universal Joints, Water Pumps, and Tensioner & Idler Bearings. Over the years GMB manufacturing expanded into a variety of quality parts now including Wheel Bearings and Hub Assemblies, Fuel Pumps, Fan Clutches, and Steering & Suspension parts. Each product line has extensive Asian, Domestic, and European coverage that meet or exceed OE standards. Learn more at https://gmb.net.
